Neighborhood Security
Round Rock Police non-emergency number: 512-218-5500
Residents should call if they are uncomfortable with activities in the Oaklands common areas, or believe there is any trespassing. Also use this number if a door-to-door solicitor cannot produce the required permit. RRPD is a good partner sharing safety tips and averages just 3-4 minute response times.

  • Announcement
    The City is scheduled to begin repaving the streets throughout The Oaklands neighborhood. 
    • The contractor is slated to begin work on Monday, June 3 (weather permitting)
    • They will work their way from the south end (near 620) to the north end and finish in the Oak Creek neighborhood
    • The contractor will give notice be placing door hangers on each residents door 48 hours in advance of starting the work
    • They will only do one side of a street at a time in order for traffic to pass through and to allow access to driveways
    • Cul de sacs are a little more difficult. They will be completely shut down to traffic until the work is complete
    • Residents will be directed to park on nearby streets and will be have to walk to their place of residence
    • If their happen to be residents handicaps or disabilities we will be happy to make arrangements as necessary 
    • This project will take several weeks to complete. Updates will follow as work progresses
    • Please keep in mind that vehicles parked on the street will hamper completion of the work
